How We Hire

A Guide to Recruitment at Wayfair

Our interview process is designed to help potential Wayfairians shine by demonstrating mastery of the concepts that reflect our core values—innovation, collaboration, risk taking, big-picture thinking, and more.

1. Search

Search for open positions through your school’s job board or our Student Careers page.

2. Apply

After submitting your application online, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application and a summary of next steps.

3. Application Review

A member of our Campus Recruiting team will review your application and will reach out to you via email to let you know if we are moving forward with your candidacy. We will also notify you via email if we are not moving ahead with your application.

4. Technical Assessment

*For Technical candidates only* This technical assessment invites you to demonstrate your programming ability, using a platform called Codility, on a variety of small coding assignments. You will be given access to a Codility FAQ sheet which gives some helpful tips and guidelines for the assessment. The tasks within the assessment will ask you to write or correct some code and you will be evaluated based on your solutions.

5. First Round Interview

Once you are invited to an interview, you will be sent a link from GoodTime, our interview scheduling platform, in order to select a date and time that works best for you. The first round interview is conducted virtually, via Google Meet. After the interview, you will be notified via email if we are moving forward with your candidacy.

6. Second Round Interview

The second, and final, round interview is conducted virtually via Google Meet. While we are not hosting in-person interviews at our corporate headquarters in Boston, MA at this time, we encourage you to take a virtual tour! All candidates will be notified via email if we are moving forward with your candidacy.

7. Offer

Your application details and interview feedback will be reviewed in order to determine if you will receive an offer. All candidates, regardless of offer status, will receive an email notifying them of our final decision.
